Amalfi Coast
Soak up the artistic energy and ambiance of the Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southern Italy. This memorable region has attracted artists, writers and composers for two centuries. Here, mountains plunge into the sea in a vertical scene of precipitous crags interspersed with calm coves, cultivated terraces of citrus and verdant woodland. It is the quintessential Mediterranean landscape.
Each town is unique in its traditions and topographical characteristics. You can relax and sunbathe with celebrities in pastel-colored Positano. Take the train east to ancient Amalfi and absorb its Arabic-Sicilian architecture. The Amalfi Coast also has an abundance of ancient ruins, both Greek and Roman, including Pompeii, Paestum, and Herculaneum. Turquoise seas and cinematic piazzas aside, the region is home to some of Italy's finest hotels and restaurants. The ideal time of year for getting married is March through October.
